moon river,
wider than a mile,
i’m crossing you in style,
someday …
oh dream maker,
you heart breaker,
wherever you’re going,
i’m going your way.
two drifters,
off to see the world,
there’s such a lot of world
to see
we’re after
the same
rainbow’s end
waiting ’round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,
moon river
and me.
— packed my things tightly, hopped on to the awaiting boat, started to row, but … i haven’t thought about the exact destination. i can only think of seeing me alone in a big sea, without knowing where to land myself on. whoever thinks the rower is out of his mind, they will not understand. —
